Warren Miller - Father of the Ski Movie

Warren Miller is a legendary movie maker of ski films. As a young man he took up the hobbies of skiing, surfing, and photography. After service in World War II he bought his first movie camera and started to teach skiing at various American ski resorts, beginning at Sun Valley in 1946, where he car-camped in the parking lot. In 1949, Miller founded Warren Miller Entertainment. One of his famous quotes is "Don't take life seriously, because you can't come out of it alive." Another is "In 100 years - all new people."

Stein Eriksen - Olympic Champion

Olympic Champion Stein Eriksen is one of the most charismatic figures in the history of skiing. Stein came out of nowhere to win gold and silver medals for Norway at the 1952 Oslo Olympic's. He moved to the U.S. teaching at Boyne Mountain, Heavenly Valley, Sugarbush, Aspen and Snowmass. In 1981, he came to Utah's Deer Valley resort, lending his name to its lodge. To "Ski like Stein!" means to ski gracefully, always in balance, legs together and seduce the mountain!
